The Sweatshop Olympics

Chinese Olympic athletes, as it turns out, are not allowed to quit.  Forced labor.  Greatness at gunpoint.

I don’t pay much attention to the Olympics.  I’ll be watching re-runs of Frazier and South Park the whole time.  Some good may come out of this spectacle, however:   The eyes of the world will be on this repressive country, and many visitors from free lands will interact with the Chinese.  The marketplace and the exchange of ideas can do far more good than wars, sanctions, or any other threat from the rest of the world directed against China.
